Project Description

MojoDrill helps college students build a consistent and positive morning routine, amidst their busy, unpredictable schedules. This project explores daily habits, motivation, and emotions to shape a practical, engaging solution—featuring character illustrations and evidence-based strategies for long-term habit formation.

TIMELINE

A 15-week process identifying a market opportunity, conducting research and data analysis, followed by ideation, prototyping, user testing, and final mockup development.

BACKGROUND

A consistent morning routine can boost health, focus, and overall productivity. However, college students often face hectic, unpredictable schedules and may lack awareness of the routine’s benefits—making it feel unnecessary or difficult to maintain.

Process

LITERATURE REVIEW

Reviewed publications to understand the current landscape and potential interventions.

CARD SORTING + INTERVIEWS
Provided participants with activity cards to organize according to their daily routines. This helped prompt habit recall, visualize key tasks, and uncover motivations and behaviors.

MARKET BENCHMARKING

Analyzed current solutions to understand the current landscape, and identify gaps and opportunities.

IDEATION

Defined design criteria as success metrics and generated 100+ concepts. Selected and prototyped top ideas for testing.

PRODUCT TESTING - CONCEPT & USABILITY

Conducted concept and usability testing with users and peers to gather feedback and refine the solution.

DESIGN SYSTEM AND ILLUSTRATIONS

Established the product’s design language and brand identity. Designed a character mascot and built a cohesive design system.

FINAL PRODUCT

Applied the design system to create a high-fidelity interactive prototype.
